Driver ‘Threatened With Rifle’

Police have arrested a 47-year-old Kingaroy man after a motorist was allegedly threatened with a rifle on River Road.

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant David Tierney, said the incident occurred after a motorist become bogged.

A man allegedly came out of a nearby property and pointed a rifle at the driver.

Police investigating the incident searched a storage shed where they located property believed to have been stolen.

The man will appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on January 7 charged with two counts of threatening violence with a firearm and break and enter of a premises.
