South Burnett Race Club has sprung into action to take up the offer to hold an extra race meeting in 2019.
A decision by Gayndah to cancel its January meeting has provided an opportunity for the Wondai-based club to add another event to its annual calendar.
The special one-off meeting will be held on January 19.
Nominations will open on January 15 and acceptances will be announced on January 17.
The South Burnett Race Club usually holds three events every year: on Anzac Day, its Winter mid-year meeting (July 6), and the Wondai Cup in October (Caulfield Cup day).
