Police are investigating the alleged assault of a 15-year-old Cherbourg boy at a private residence in the town on November 24.
The boy was treated in hospital for a broken jaw.
The injuries were allegedly caused by a 26-year-old man known to the boy.
Murgon detectives are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact police on (07) 4179-5222 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800-333-000.

About 2:00pm on November 24, officers from the Moreton District Tactical Crime Squad located a 22-year-old Murgon man near Bjelke-Petersen Dam.
The man allegedly attempted to flee from police, however was located a short time later hiding in a storm drain.
He was arrested for breaching his bail conditions and charged with obstructing police.
He will face Murgon Magistrates Court on December 18.
