St John’s Lutheran School in Kingaroy is the latest South Burnett school to get the “Small Town Culture” treatment by singer-songwriter Josh Arnold.
The video features the school’s popular whipcracking team so it’s appropriate the song is titled, “Get Crackin’ At St John’s”.
The production was made with the assistance of the school’s Parents and Friends Association and highlights the fact that St John’s will be celebrating its 30th anniversary next year.
Josh has previously made videos with students at Yarraman P-9, members of the Kilkivan community, State schools in the Barambah Cluster, Wondai P-9 and the Blackbutt-Benarkin Community.
Last year, he went back to Yarraman P-9 to reshoot a 2017 version of their school song.
The Golden Guitar winner developed his school program in 2007 and since then has been collaborating with Queensland students to create original music from their ideas.
In 2014 he won a Regional Services Award for his work in schools and rural communities.
