A local fire ban has been imposed from 10:00am Wednesday (today) until 10:00am Friday (November 30) in the South Burnett, Cherbourg, Gympie and North Burnett council areas.
Also affected are residents in the Bundaberg, Fraser Coast, Sunshine Coast and Noosa council areas.
The latest bans have been added to those previously announced by the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services:
- A local fire ban will be in place from 12:01am Wednesday morning until 11:59pm Wednesday night for residents in the Ipswich, Somerset, Lockyer, Logan, Scenic Rim and Gold Coast council areas. UPDATE: This ban has been extended to 11:59pm Thursday.
- A local fire ban will be in place from 12:01am Wednesday morning until 11:59pm Friday night for residents in the Toowoomba, Southern Downs, Goondiwindi, Western Downs and Maranoa council areas.
