The Kumbia Race Club will be holding its popular Melbourne Cup race meeting this Tuesday, November 6.
It will be a five-race meeting with the first race scheduled to leave the barriers at at 1:00pm.
The feature race, the Huston Motors Kumbia Cup Open Handicap (1400m), will be run at 3:55pm.
The meeting will also celebrate the Kumbia Race Club’s 91st birthday, and there’ll be a new design of souvenir beer coolers on sale at the track.
As well as a big Fashions of the Field competition, there’ll also be full TV coverage of the races from Flemington, including the Melbourne Cup.
On-course bookies will be taking bets on both the local and interstate races.
A bus will be running from Kingaroy’s Carrollee Hotel to help punters enjoy the day without the hassle of driving, but bookings need to be made at the hotel.
