School leavers looking to maximise their chances of going to university – or who want to use their summer break to get ready for uni – have been encouraged to apply for the University of Southern Queensland’s Accelerated Entry Pathway Program.

The free program serves as an alternative pathway for Year 12 graduates who want to gain entry into an undergraduate degree at USQ.

This includes students who are unsure if their OP score will get them into their desired degree program, didn’t undertake an OP program at high school and seek a different entry pathway to higher education, or want to hone their skills further so that they are more prepared for university study.

The program starts on December 3.

Participants must attend two, two-week on-campus workshops at USQ Toowoomba, in addition to online study in between.

Full accommodation bursaries are available for students who do not live near a USQ campus, allowing them to experience Residential College life on the Toowoomba campus while they attend classes.

Successful completion of the program allows students to apply for entry into certain USQ undergraduate degrees.

Applications close on November 28.
