A Nanango man who admitted to accidentally killing his housemate has been sentenced to nine years’ jail.
William Arthur Feeney, 57, appeared for sentencing in the Brisbane Supreme Court on Friday morning.
Feeney had earlier pleaded not guilty to murdering Bruce Flynn, 60, who was found unconscious at his home in Old Esk Road, Nanango, on September 11, 2015.
Mr Flynn was taken to Kingaroy Hospital where he died a short time later.
Midway through his trial, Feeney changed his plea to guilty to manslaughter, which the Crown accepted.
Justice Ann Lyons sentenced Feeney to nine years imprisonment, and declared he had already served 717 days.
