Police are looking for people to get involved in establishing a South Burnett Crime Stoppers committee.

Snr Sgt Tierney is looking for volunteers to form a local committee which could arrange one or two fundraising events every year for Crime Stoppers.

Kingaroy Police are also looking for four or five volunteers to become co-ordinators for a Kingaroy Neighbourhood Watch group.

Snr Sgt Tierney said it was envisaged that this Kingaroy group would be social media driven, rather than traditional face-to-face meetings.

A Police Liaison Officer would be assigned to the group, and support and training would be provided.
