About 3:00pm on Saturday, police in Gore Street, Murgon, spotted a person allegedly riding a red unregistered trail bike without a helmet.

Police conducted inquires with witnesses who identified the person as a local teenager.

Police later attended an address and arrested a 17-year-old boy for allegedly failing to wear a helmet, unlicensed driving, driving an unregistered vehicle and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on Thursday evening in Gore Street, Murgon, after allegedly abusing members of the public at a playground.

He was charged with drug possession and public nuisance and will face Murgon Magistrates Court on November 13.

At about 11:00pm on the same night,  Cherbourg Police pulled over a 36-year-old Mount Helen man driving on Goomeri West Road at Goomeri.

Police allegedly located cannabis and smoking utensils in the man’s vehicle.

About 5:00pm on Friday, two 10-year-old Murgon boys were arrested by police in relation to alleged graffiti and stealing offences within the Murgon area.

An hour later, police in Cherbourg stopped a vehicle on Barambah Avenue. 

A 26-year-old Cherbourg man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on November 7  charged with unlicensed driving and driving an unregistered vehicle.

Police from the Murgon and Cherbourg districts also attended a number of traffic incidents, graffiti and stealing over the past week. Police conducted 178 roadside breath tests and issued eight infringement notices for driving offences.
