Acting on information received by police, detectives from from Kingaroy CIB and uniformed officers pulled over a Mitsubishi stationwagon on Butts Lane in Nanango at 6.50am on Friday.
A search of the vehicle allegedly located a sawn-off shotgun, ammunition, a balaclava, gloves and a small quantity of drugs.
The driver, a 38-year-old Kingaroy man, was arrested.
He was due to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on Friday afternoon charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, discharging a weapon in a public place, unlawful possession of explosives, disqualified driving and drug driving.
