Modlites national president Robert Hardy rolled his racer after the chequered flag in Heat 1 of the Modlites at Kingaroy Speedway
September 29, 2018
The new South Burnett speedway season got off to a smashing start last weekend with lap records broken and some spectacular crashes in a big night of racing.
The new clay track which was installed in the lead-up to the event led to records being set in the Modifieds, Modlites and National 4s.
Queensland champion Keith Blatch lowered the old lap record in the Lightning Sprints to 13.256 seconds, a record which had stood since 2011.
The next meeting at the South Burnett Speedway will be on November 10 with V8 Dirt Modifieds, Modifieds, Compact Speedcars, Production Sedans, Street Stocks and Junior Sedans on the program.
