Kingaroy Rotary’s Wayne Bushell … he’ll be selling burgers not ham wheel tickets on Sunday

September 12, 2018

There’s a special bowls challenge happening in Kingaroy this Sunday (September 16) to help raise funds for the South Burnett Autism Support Group.

The challenge, at the Kingaroy Bowls Club, will run from noon to 5:00pm and is limited to 28 four-person teams.

Teams don’t have to pre-book … just roll up on the day!  And both bowlers and non-bowlers are welcome to come along and have some fun.

Cost is $20 a head, which includes lunch at noon, 15 ends of lawn bowls and nibbles.

Wayne Bushell, from Kingaroy Rotary, said lunch would be a choice of beef, satay, honey and soy, or chilli burgers.

“If there are any vegetarians or vegans, let me know in advance and I will prepare vege burgers,” Wayne said.

Messages can be left on the Rotary Kingaroy Facebook page

There will also be raffles during the afternoon.

People who’d prefer to pop in at noon and enjoy a burger without the bowls, can enjoy lunch for just $10.

“The more sold the greater the profit. Any leftovers will be sold after the event,” Wayne said.
