Two 17-year-old Kingaroy residents have been charged with a number of property offences that occurred in Kingaroy on August 31.

Police allege a girl and boy were involved in:

  • Unlawful entry to a caravan in Arthur Street
  • Break and enter of a house in Arthur Street
  • Break and enter of shed in Norman Street
  • Break and enter of a shed in Carinya Street
  • Break and enter of a house in Tuite Street
  • Stealing from yards in Carinya Street
  • Damage of a fence in Fisher Street
  • Stealing a pushbike from a yard in Carinya Street
  • Stealing from a vehicle in Carinya Street
  • Graffiti offence in Doonkuna Street; and
  • Graffiti offence in Jubilee Street.

They will appear in the Kingaroy Children’s Court in relation to these matters.

Another 17-year-old Kingaroy boy has also been dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.

Police have arrested and charged a 42-year-old Kingaroy woman who allegedly created a phone account using another woman’s ID.

The offence allegedly occurred on April 23.

The woman will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 17, charged with false representation and two counts of fraud.

At 1:50am on Friday,  police were called to alarms sounding at a Haly Street business in Kingaroy. 

Damage was found to have been caused to a rear sliding door however no entry was gained to the premises.

Security guards reported seeing a heavyset man leaving the area when they arrived.

The suspect was wearing a light-coloured hooded jumper and dark pants.

Investigations are continuing.

Kingaroy Police have executed search warrants at a series of local addresses:

At Liesegangs Road, Crawford:  Police allegedly located a small quantity of cannabis and a drug utensil. A 20-year-old Crawford man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 17, charged with possessing a dangerous drug and drug utensils.

At Haly Street, Kingaroy: A 24-year-old Kingaroy woman will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 17 charged with possessing drug utensils.

At Burnett Street, Kingaroy: A 33-year-old Kingaroy man was allegedly found in possession of a card knife and drug utensils while a 29-year-old Kingaroy man was allegedly found with an uncapped syringe. The 33-year-old will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 17 charged with possessing a Category M weapon and drug utensils. The 29-year-old will appear on the same day charged with failing to dispose of a syringe.

At Arthur Street, Kingaroy: A 46-year-old Kingaroy woman will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 17 charged with possessing a dangerous drug and drug utensils.

On Thursday, police arrested a 20-year-old Kingaroy man in relation to allegations he supplied drugs between January 1 and July 23, 2018.

The man was to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court  on Monday charged with trafficking a dangerous drug.

At 1:40am on August 28, police intercepted a Ford sedan on River Road, Kingaroy, being driven by a 24-year-old Kingaroy man. 

Police will allege the man was currently disqualified from driving.

He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on October 8. An application will also be made for the forfeiture of his vehicle.

A 26-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on November 5 charged with drug driving after he was stopped by police on Kingaroy Street on August 30.

A 31-year-old Tingoora woman has been charged with disqualified driving, issued with a speeding ticket and had her vehicle immobilised for seven days after police pulled over her Kia stationwagon on the Bunya Highway last Thursday.

The woman was allegedly doing a 126km/h in a 100km/h zone.

She will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court in September.

A 26-year-old Kingaroy woman was arrested on Saturday for allegedly failing to comply with the conditions of a Notice of Reportable Offender’s Reporting Obligations.

She will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court at a later date.

Kingaroy Police responded to a variety of incidents between August 27 to September 3, including three calls related to domestic violence incidents as well as issuing 40 infringement notices for life-endangering traffic offences and performing 183 Roadside Breath Tests.
