Kingaroy detectives have charged a 20-year-old man after investigations into alleged drug trafficking in the South Burnett.

Police will allege the man was supplying quantities of cannabis over a seven-month period.

He is expected to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 3 charged with drug trafficking and possessing property offences.

Southern Police Region Crime Co-ordinator, Detective Acting Superintendent Paul Hart, said the arrest followed increased policing activities across the South Burnett.

“The community has really come on board with our policing initiatives aimed at reducing personal and property crime in the Burnett,” Detective Acting Superintendent Hart said.

“We will continue to act on information provided by the community and actively target offenders who engage these sorts if activities in our region.”

Investigations are continuing and more arrests are expected.
