A string of traffic crashes has kept Kingaroy Police busy over the past few days:

On Saturday, police were called to Haly Street in Kingaroy at 12:15am after a pedestrian was struck by a Holden sedan.

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant David Tierney, said investigations revealed the 21-year-old Kingaroy man and friends were running on the road in front of cars.

The Holden braked but struck the man, who was transported to Kingaroy Hospital suffering minor injuries.

Earlier on Saturday, police attended a single vehicle crash on Kingaroy-Cooyar Road involving a Holden sedan.

Initial investigations indicated a 19-year-old Kingaroy woman over-corrected when attempting to take a bend, lost control of the vehicle and rolled several times before coming to rest off the roadway.

The woman was transported to hospital for observation and investigations are continuing.

On Friday, police were advised of two-vehicle crash that occurred on the Bunya Highway at Crawford.

A Holden utility allegedly crossed double lines and clipped a Toyota sedan which was travelling north.

A 30-year-old Kingaroy man has been was issued with a traffic ticket for failing to keep left of the centre dividing line.

Police are investigating the theft of a vehicle tyre from a business on Stehbens Road, Kingaroy, overnight on August 6-7.

A thief cut a rear fence and removed a tyre from a white Holden Colorado utility.

On Wednesday, August 8, police spoke to a 23-year-old Kingaroy man, on Haly Street, Kingaroy. 

Inquiries determined he was wanted in relation to a theft from a Kingaroy Street business on July 31. 

A subsequent search of the man allegedly located a knife and a small quantity of drugs.

He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 9, charged with theft, drug possession and possessing a knife.

On August 9, police were called to an Alford Street, Kingaroy, store regarding the theft of DVD. 

A man allegedly fled when challenged by staff.

Police subsequently located a 25-year-old Kingaroy man at an Alford Street address.

He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 9, charged with theft.

On Wednesday, police pulled over a 44-year-old Cherbourg woman on Queen Street, Kingaroy, and checks allegedly revealed the woman’s licence was suspended. She will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 17 charged with allegedly driving while unlicensed.  Her vehicle was also immobilised for 90 days.

On Thursday, police stopped a 40-year-old Wooroolin man driving a Holden ute on Frederick Street, Wooroolin. Checks allegedly revealed his licence was demerit point suspended. He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 17 charged with unlicensed driving.

On Saturday, police intercepted a Ford ute being driven by an 18-year-old Murgon man on Henry Street, Kingaroy.  Inquiries allegedly revealed the man’s licence was demerit point suspended. He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 3 charged with unlicensed driving.

A 41-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 9 charged with possessing a dangerous drug after he was searched at Kingaroy Watchhouse after being arrested in relation to other matters.

On Saturday, police executed a search warrant at a Prince Street address in Kingaroy.  Police allegedly located a small quantity of dangerous drugs and drug utensils. A 32-year-old Kingaroy woman will appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 3, charged with allegedly possessing a dangerous drug and drug utensils.

Also on Saturday, police executed a search warrant at a Kurtellen Street address.  They allegedly located a small quantity of dangerous drugs and drug utensils. A 38-year-old Kingaroy man was dealt with by way of drug diversion for possessing a dangerous drug and drug utensils.

A 35-year-old Kingaroy man has been charged with possessing a dangerous drug and drug utensils; and a 46-year-old Kingaroy man charged with possessing a dangerous drug. They will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 3.
