A 70-year-old woman from Nundah suffered a hip injury when she was accidentally struck by a reversing vehicle in the car park behind Kingaroy SupaIGA on Wednesday morning.

She was transported by ambulance to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition.

Office-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant David Tierney, said it was a low-speed impact.

The 71-year-old male driver, from Kingaroy, did not see the pedestrian, and the pedestrian did not notice the vehicle begin to move.

The incident occurred about 9:50am.

Investigations are continuing.
