Nanango Police are hunting a thief who stole a laser from a South Burnett Regional Council worksite on Memerambi-Barkers Creek Road.

The incident occurred at some time between noon and 12:45pm on Wednesday (August 1).

The Grade IIIa laser was stolen while employees were away on a lunch break.

A 47-year-old Yarraman man will appear in Nanango Magistrates Court on August 30 after his motorcycle was stopped by police on Mill Flat Road at Nanango last Tuesday.

Police from the Kingaroy Road Policing Command intercepted the motorcycle about 5:30pm for a licence and registration check.

Police will allege the rider’s driver’s licence was suspended and the motorbike was unregistered and uninsured.

At 6:15pm on the same night, Kingaroy Road Policing Command stopped a vehicle on Fitzroy Street, Nanango, for a licence check.

Police will allege the driver, a 57-year-old Nanango woman, had a suspended licence.

She will also appear in Nanango Magistrates Court on August 30.

An unknown thief has forced entry into a Tarong house at some time between July 4 and August 1.

Items were stolen from within the dwelling.

At about 8:25pm on Saturday, Nanango Police stopped a vehicle on Dalkeith Street, Nanango, for a licence check.

A 41-year-old Glan Devon woman has been charged with driving with a suspended driver’s licence and will appear in Nanango Magistrates Court on September 20.
