The Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry is aiming to add even more sizzle to the upcoming Kingaroy BaconFest by urging local businesses to ham it up.

The KCCI is encouraging businesses in the Kingaroy CBD to let their imaginations run wild and share in the spirit of the festival by entering a street window competition.

But you’d better be quick to nominate your business … entries close on Monday!

“The competition enables businesses to really get behind the festival and show their support,” KCCI President Rob Fitz-Herbert said.

“We hope the Kingaroy CBD will help set the scene for the festival and make sure visitors go home with memories of a unique BaconFest experience.”

There are two BaconFest merchandise packs to be won which include tickets to the VIP tent at the BaconFest Food Market and some limited edition SunPork Fresh Foods BaconFest bacon.

Judges will be Opposition Leader and Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington, Kingaroy Police Officer-in-Charge Senior Sergeant Dave Tierney and KCCI Vice-President Brett Irwin who will hit the streets on August 6 looking for the most creative and best bacon theme window.

Entry is free.

Download an entry form from the KCCI and email it to info@kcci.asn.au by Monday, July 30.

Shop window displays must remain on display for the BaconFest weekend from Friday 24 August to Sunday 26 August.

UPDATE July 31:  It’s not too late to enter! Entries for the KCCI & BaconFest Street Window Competition have been extended until Friday (August 3).
