A truck carrying a bobcat and auger was badly damaged by fire on Friday morning.

Urban and rural fire crews were called to the incident, on the Memerambi-Gordonbrook Road, about 9:30am.

The truck was well-involved in flames when firefighters arrived.

Crews quickly extinguished the flames and stopped the fire from spreading into nearby paddocks.

No one was injured in the incident.

An 81-year-old Kingaroy man has been charged with shop stealing after Aldi staff allegedly spotted him stealing items while reviewing in-store security vision.

Staff reviewed the video after finding empty packets hidden on shelves.

Police were called on Thursday after employees spotted the man returning to the store.

They allegedly located stolen items secreted in the man’s pockets when he was paying for other goods.

The man will appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 20 charged with two counts of  shop stealing.

A 23-year-old Kingaroy man has been charged in relation to the theft of property from a Markwell Street business in Kingaroy on July 6 and July 16.

He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 6 charged with two counts of stealing property.

A man has been charged with possessing a dangerous drug and unlawfully possessing a weapon after police stopped him in Doonkuna Street, Kingaroy, at 11:10pm on Wednesday.

He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 30.

Police were called to a Kingaroy hotel at 10:25pm on Saturday due to the alleged behaviour of a patron.

A 55-year-old Kingaroy man had earlier been removed from the premises.

However, police allege he remained at the front of the premises, threatening staff.

Police gave the man a move on direction to leave the area.

However, the man allegedly ignored this direction and after being warned several times was arrested.

He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 20 charged with disobeying a police direction and committing a public nuisance offence.

Police attended a hotel in Haly Street, Kingaroy, at 12:45am on Sunday after reports of a disturbance involving two men.

On arrival police required a 42-year-old Murgon man to state his name.

The man allegedly refused and ignored repeated warnings.

The man then allegedly struggled with police as he was being arrested.

A second man, a 21-year-old from Murgon, was given a move on direction.

When he allegedly refused to comply, he was also arrested.

The 42-year-old man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 20, charged with disorderly behaviour on licensed premises, obstructing police and contravening a requirement.

The 21-year-old man will appear on the same day charged with disorderly behaviour and contravening a requirement.

 A 41-year-old Ballogie woman has been charged with drink-driving after police pulled over her Mazda ute at 12:10am on Thursday.

She will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 8.

She allegedly blew 0.122 BAC.

A Mitsubishi sedan was keyed at some time between 11:15am and 1:45pm last Monday while parked in the Shoppingworld underground car park.

A sharp implement was run down the driver’s side of the vehicle.

Investigations are continuing.
