Kingaroy police are investigating the attempted theft of a motorbike in Walter Road last week.

On Monday, June 25, a resident contacted police after noticing that someone had entered their yard between 10:00pm and 11:00pm and taken the bike from a rear shed.

It appears the thief then dumped the bike on a neighbouring empty block in Prince Street.

At 1:45am, the resident disturbed a person pushing the motorbike from the block.

When challenged, the would-be thief dropped the motorbike and ran down Prince Street into Hodge Street before running into a residence.

He is described as male, believed to be in his teens and possibly wearing a pale blue hoodie.
