A 16-year-old Cherbourg teenager has been charged over a ram raid at a Kingaroy bottleshop in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant David Tierney, said police were on patrol at 4:30am when they spotted two vehicles leaving a licensed premises.
“Police attempted to intercept the vehicles but discontinued when the vehicles failed to stop,” Snr Sgt Tierney said.
“Police returned to the premises and contacted the licensee.
“Investigations revealed that a vehicle had been used to force a roller door and a quantity of alcohol stolen.
“A Great Wall utility, the property of the licensed premises, had also been stolen.
“The other vehicle was confirmed as a Suzuki hatch which had been stolen from Cherbourg earlier. Both vehicles were later located.”
The youth has been charged with breaking into licensed premises, stealing alcohol and car theft. He will appear in Murgon Children’s Court.

A 43-year-old woman has been charged with supplying drugs after a forensic examination of her mobile phone.
Police seized her phone while executing a search warrant at her address on the D’Aguilar Highway on May 10. At the time police also allegedly located and seized a number of illegal stills.
The woman will appear in Nanango Magistrates Court on July 19 charged with supplying a dangerous drug.

A 42-year-old Kingaroy woman stopped by police while driving on Haly Street, Kingaroy, on Wednesday allegedly tested positive to cannabis.
She will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 20.

On Friday, police intercepted a 19-year-old Crawford man driving a Hyundai sedan on Siefert Street, Crawford, at 7:55pm.
Checks revealed the driver was allegedly disqualified from driving.
The man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court in July 30 charged with driving whilst disqualified. His vehicle was also immobilised for 90 days.
At 12:35am on Friday, police pulled over a 21-year-old Memerambi woman driving a Hyundai hatch on Youngman Street, Kingaroy.
Inquiries allegedly revealed she was not the current holder of a driver’s licence.
The woman will also appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 30 and her vehicle was also immobilised for 90 days.

On Sunday, Kingaroy Police were called to a house in Haly Street at 3:30pm after reports of people entering the property.
Police located a 47-year-old Kingaroy man at the address with a number of items in his possession.
Police will allege the man stole property from boxes at the rear of the residence.
He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 16 charged with stealing paint, a debit card and a gold-coloured tin.

Six people will face charges of drug driving after being pulled over and tested by the Kingaroy Road Policing Unit at the weekend:
On Saturday, police stopped a 36-year-old Nanango man travelling on Burnett Street, Nanango. He allegedly tested positive for methamphetamine, and will appear in Nanango Magistrates Court on August 2.
Also on Saturday, a 36-year-old Wattle Camp woman travelling on Drayton Street, Nanango, allegedly tested positive to cannabis. She will also appear in Nanango Magistrates Court on August 2.
Three people were charged on Sunday:
At 3:30pm, police intercepted a Mitsubishi sedan being driven by a 26-year-old Wondai woman on Haly Street, Kingaroy. She allegedly tested positive to cannabis and will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 6.
At 4:20pm, police stopped a Holden sedan being driven by a 45-year-old Kingaroy woman on Doonkuna Street, Kingaroy. She allegedly tested positive to methamphetamine and will appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 30. Police also allegedly located a small quantity of cannabis. The woman was dealt with under the drug diversion program.
At 5:40pm, police stopped a Ford sedan being driven by a 37-year-old Enoggera man on Haly Street, Kingaroy. The L-plater allegedly tested positive to cannabis. Police also drug-tested the 42-year-old male passenger who was supervising the learner driver, and he was also allegedly found to have cannabis in his saliva.
Both men were issued with a Notice to Appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 6.

Also on Sunday, police from the Kingaroy Road Policing Unit intercepted a 21-year-old Memerambi woman driving on Youngman Street, Kingaroy, while unlicensed.
She was issued with a Notice to Appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 30 and her vehicle was immobilised for 90 days.
