Emergency services on the Burnett Highway near the site of a two-vehicle crash on Sunday afternoon

A man and a woman were taken to hospital on Sunday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash on the Burnett Highway near its junction with Kingaroy-Barkers Creek Road.

Police were alerted to the incident at 12:45pm.

They found the driver of one car – a 57-year-old man – had suffered a minor head injury and his 83-year-old female passenger appeared to be in shock.

Both were taken by ambulance to Kingaroy Hospital for treatment.

The occupants of the second vehicle were uninjured.

Police directed traffic around the crash site while the people involved were assessed and their vehicles were removed on tow trucks.

Emergency services were also called to a single-vehicle crash on the Bunya Highway between Tingoora and Wooroolin on Sunday.

However, no one was injured.

Police investigations into the cause of this crash are ongoing.

Two women were taken to Gympie Hospital in a stable condition after a crash on Rossmore Road near Kilkivan on Sunday afternoon.

The incident occurred just before 2:30pm.

Two people avoided injury after a single vehicle rollover on Maidenwell-Bunya Mountains Road about 1:00pm on Saturday.

Emergency services personnel were called to the scene but a Queensland Ambulance spokesman said their services were not needed.

The Maidenwell-Bunya Mountains Road was temporarily closed to allow the vehicle’s wreckage to be removed.
