Murgon student Sarah Jensen, 23, was one of 600 Faculty of Business, Education, Law and Arts students who received their graduation certificates at USQ Toowoomba on Friday.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Education and has already managed to secure job at Lockyer District High School in Gatton.
This is just the latest of Sarah’s achievements.
The former Wheatlands State School student and Murgon State High School captain was senior dux at Murgon in 2012 and was named Junior Murgon Ambassador at the 2013 Murgon Business & Development Association’s Australia Day awards.
She was also the winner of the Quota Club of Murgon’s 2012 Student of the Year competition.
The “testamur” ceremony at USQ marked the completion of Sarah’s studies at the university.
USQ Chancellor John Dornbusch said the students had displayed tenacity, perseverance and resilience.
Guest speaker at the ceremony was Tim Davis, from Horizon Accounting Group, who is a USQ alumnus with more than 30 years’ experience in public practice, and former Queensland Anti-Discrimination Commissioner Kevin Cocks AM.
