A woman was struck by a car on a pedestrian crossing at the corner of Haly and Glendon Streets in Kingaroy on Friday afternoon.
The accident ocurred at about 1:35pm.
Ambulance and police crews attended the scene shortly afterwards, and the woman was transferred to Kingaroy Hospital.
Her condition is currently unknown.
The pedestrian crossing where the woman was struck was rated as one of the town’s most unsafe crossings by Kingaroy police in 2014.
The crossing has been earmarked for relocation to the middle of the block between Glendon and Kingaroy Streets as part of the South Burnett Regional Council’s Kingaroy Revitalisation plan.
