Thirty-three not-for-profit community groups will share $83,550 worth of grants from the South Burnett Regional Council.
On Wednesday, Communities portfolio chair Cr Danita Potter announced the second round of the Council’s new look Community Grants program had been finalised.
In all, the Council received 45 applications requesting a total of $144,743 for Round 2 and rejected more than a quarter of them.
In August’s first round, the Council had received 50 applications requesting a total of $125,952.88 in funding.
In that round it only approved 39 of them for $58,449.55.
The successful Round 2 applicants were:
Public Hall Liability Insurance
- Ironpot Hall Association: $1000 for public liability insurance
- Kumbia & District Memorial School Of The Arts: $1000 for public liability insurance

- Blackbutt District Tourism and Heritage Association: $3000 for airconditioning Blackbutt Memorial Hall
- Jumping Ant Arts: $2840 for “Book Leaves – Never Leaf The Alone” project
