Vandals have struck at the Kingaroy Swimming Pool twice in two weekends.

On the first occasion, a door was damaged and the office area broken into. A fire extinguisher was let off.

On the second occasion, vandals entered the enclosed pool area on Friday night or early Saturday morning.

They threw around items before defecating in the main pool.

Kingaroy Police are investigating the attempted break and enter of a house in Fisher Street, Kingaroy, between noon on Saturday and 2:00pm on Sunday.

The would-be thieves attempted to jemmy open a locked screen door.

The offenders damaged the door but were unable to gain entry.

Investigations are continuing.

Police were called twice to Recreation Drive at Memerambi last Tuesday to deal with alleged disturbances.

At 1:30pm, a 13-year-old girl was arrested in relation to an alleged assault of a 26-year-old man. She will be dealt with under provisions of the Youth Justice Act.

At 3:00pm, police were called after a 14-year-old girl allegedly behaved violently towards a 65-year-old man.

Between 5:30pm on Wednesday and 9:30am on Thursday, thieves allegedly entered an unlocked garden shed in Doonkuna Street, Kingaroy, and stole an Engel fridge.

A 38-year-old Memerambi woman has been charged with trespassing and wilful damage after allegedly smashing a window at a house in Edward Street, Kingaroy, on Wednesday afternoon.

She has been summonsed to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on April 9.

A 50-year-old Kingaroy man has been charged with possessing dangerous drugs after police visited a Burnett Street home on Wednesday afternoon.

A 19-year-old Kingaroy woman was arrested and charged by police on Friday after a complaint was received that she had damaged a door at a Glendon Street address at 12:30am.

She will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 23 charged with stealing and causing wilful damage.

A 14-year-old Kingaroy girl has been charged with wilful damage after a window was damaged at a youth service in Kingaroy on February 24.

She will appear in Kingaroy Children’s Court.

A 35-year-old Kingaroy man has been charged with disqualified driving, and his Holden Commodore immobilised for 90 days after he was pulled over by police on the Bunya Highway at Wooroolin on Friday.

He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 26.

At 2:30pm on Friday, police attended an address in Murphy Street, Kingaroy, in relation to another matter.

While there, police allegedly located drugs and drug utensils.

A 27-year-old Kingaroy woman will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 26 charged with possessing a dangerous drug.

A 16-year-old youth will be dealt with other the provisions of the Youth Justice Act after police allegedly found him in possession of a dangerous drug at lunchtime on Saturday in William Street, Kingaroy.

Police arrested a 23-year-old Pialba woman for committing a public nuisance after a number of complaints on Saturday evening from patrons at Wine and Food in the Park.

She was later released and issued with a $378 infringement notice.

At 7:50pm on Saturday, police on patrol in Haly Street, Kingaroy, allegedly spotted a 42-year-old Murgon man urinating in public.

He was issued with a $126 infringement notice.

A 23-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 26 charged with possessing drug utensils.

Police allegedly found two meth pipes hidden in his underwear when they searched him in Belle Street on Saturday night.

At 9:45pm on Saturday, police performing foot patrols around licensed premises in Kingaroy allegedly located a 27-year-old Sunshine Coast man in possession of a drug utensil.

He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 26.

At 9:10am on Sunday, Kingaroy Police pulled over a Holden sedan on Kingaroy Street which allegedly had false plates.

The driver, a 33-year-old Cherbourg woman, was breath-tested an allegedly recorded a BAC of 0.076.

A four-year-old child was also allegedly sitting unrestrained on a passenger’s lap.

The woman will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 26 charged with drink driving and driving while disqualified.

She was also issued infringement notices of unrestrained child ($378), exceed seating capacity of vehicle ($252) and false plates ($302).

At 9:25am on Sunday, police stopped a Mazda ute on Alford Street for an RBT.

The 31-year-old Wooroolin driver allegedly returned a breath alcohol reading reading of 0.114 BAC.

The man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 26 charged with driving over the middle alcohol limit.

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant David Tierney said that as well as these incidents, Kingaroy police over the past week were also called to 10 domestic violence incidents, performed 222 RBTs and issued nine tickets for life-endangering traffic matters.
