A 46-year-old Gayndah man, allegedly spotted drinking alcohol while driving, had a three-year-old girl in the back seat of the car at the time, police will allege.

The man’s Nissan Pulsar was stopped by police on Walter Road in Kingaroy on Sunday at 11:45am.

He allegedly recorded 0.203 BAC when breath-tested, more than four times the legal limit.

Police confiscated the vehicle’s number plates for seven days.

“We have concerns about him driving with a child in the car,” officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant David Tierney, said.

Details of the incident have been passed over to another government department for assessment.

The man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on April 9.
