Two South Burnett women are amongst the finalists announced this week for the Queensland Rural, Regional and Remote Women’s Network’s (QRRRWN) annual Strong Women Leadership Awards.

And one of them is already a winner …

  • Anekah Hinchliff, from Wattle Camp, has won the “Young Woman with a Vision” award which celebrates the achievements of a woman aged under 16 who has already made a significant contribution to her community and has a vision for the future.
  • Rebecca Clapperton, from Tarong, will be competing against Laura Babington, from Warwick, and Lisel Dingley, from Chinchilla, for the Young Rural Woman award. This QRRRWN award is for young women aged between 20–30 years who are inspiring leaders.

The winners in each category will be announced at the 2017 QRRRWN conference in Emerald on October 19-21.
