An 18-year-old Inverlaw man is expected to face a high range drink-driving charge after a single-vehicle crash on the corner of Luck Road and River Road in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Acting Senior Sergeant Brent Gerber, from Kingaroy Police, said a roadside breath test allegedly returned a reading of 0.288, which is more than five times the legal limit.

A blood specimen has been taken from the driver for further analysis and police are awaiting the results of these tests.

A Ford Territory sedan – stolen earlier in the night at Murgon – was spotted by police in Tingoora at 3:30am on Sunday.

However, the vehicle sped away.

It was located later on Sunday in Belle Street, Kingaroy, and seized by police.

“The keys remain outstanding and investigations are continuing into the driver,” Acting Snr Sgt Gerber said.

A 39-year-old Murgon man could forfeit his vehicle after being intercepted by Kingaroy police on Friday night.

Acting Snr Sgt Gerber said the man was driving unlicensed, and because of his previous record the vehicle could be subject to forfeiture.

The man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 18.

Kingaroy police executed a drug search warrant at a house in Frangipani Drive on Friday afternoon.

They allegedly located drugs and drug utensils.

Two Kingaroy men will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 18.

A 44-year-old Helensvale man stopped by police on Friday in Glendon Street, Kingaroy, has allegedly returned a BAC of 0.163 – more than three times the legal limit.

The man’s driver’s licence was immediately suspended.

He will appear in court on a date to be fixed.
