Cherbourg community radio station US Mob 94.1 FM have launched an online survey and are appealing to the community, supporters and listeners to take part in it.

“Please spare a few minutes and participate in an online survey for our local radio station,” US Mob producer Michael Monk said on Monday.

“The survey really does only take a few minutes to complete, and the feedback we get from you will help Us Mob in a big way.

“It will help us see what we are doing right, what we can do better, and what you like and don’t like.

“But most importantly, it will show our funding bodies, government departments and license providers just how vital our service is to Cherbourg and beyond.”

The bulk of the radio station’s budget is funded by government grants, and the station is concerned that recent cuts to Indigenous funding may threaten its future.

“Please assist Us Mob FM by encouraging your work mates, friends and colleagues to participate as well,” Michael said.

“Us Mob is a genuine local voice on the airwaves and we full in gaps not covered by the major radio networks.

“The survey finishes at the end of August, so the sooner you can get on to it the better.”

The survey can be completed online.
