The University of Southern Queensland in Toowoomba will be holding an Open Day for prospective students on Sunday (August 13).

A special guest on the day will be Li Cunxin, whose best-selling autobiography, Mao’s Last Dancer, was turned into a successful feature film.

He will speak in the Allison Dickson Lecture Theatre from noon.

The Open Day will feature information sessions on scholarships, support services and online study demonstrations, campus tours and “Future Talks” which will explore different career paths.

Other highlights of the day will include a creative arts showcase, demonstrations by nurses, scientists and astronomers, and an Air Force simulator.

The Open Day will run from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
