A 20-year-old Dalby man will face numerous charges in Kingaroy Magistrates Court after sparking a 100km hunt by police along the Bunya Highway on Thursday night.

Acting Officer-in-Charge of Kingaroy Police, Acting Senior Sergeant Scott Prendergast, said the man was arrested on the outskirts of Kingaroy.

The incident began when the driver allegedly evaded police who tried to intercept his vehicle in Dalby.

He then headed out on to the highway.

At one stage police were planning to deploy stingers to stop the vehicle before it reached Kingaroy but Acting Snr Sgt Prendergast said they proved not to be necessary.

The vehicle turned off onto Boonenne-Ellesmere Road where police arrested the driver.

The man has been remanded in custody and will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 31.
