A small vegetation fire on the side of the D’Aguilar Highway at Coolabunia created a large amount of smoke in the Kingaroy area on Wednesday afternoon.
The fire was reported to authorities at 12:42pm.
Two fire crews responded to the scene, near Redmans Road.
Firefighters quickly contained the fire and extinguished the flames, and had left the scene by 1:20pm.
Smoke lingered much longer in the Booie, Coolabunia and Ushers Hill areas.
