Yarding numbers rose to 550 in Murgon on Tuesday for the fortnightly Liveweight sale.
Most descriptions sold to dearer rates, with improvements of up to 20 cents a kilo in places.
Cattle for the sale were drawn from Mundubbera, Gayndah, Mt Perry, Durong, Nanango, Kingaroy and Murgon.
- Bullocks topped at $1810 at $2.94/kg
- Heavy Bulls sold to $2.72/kg and $1820
- Heavy Cows over 500kg sold to $2.45 per kilo and averaged $2.36/k, with the best returning $1560
- Cows 400-500kg topped at $2.47/kg and $1198, averaging $2.18/kg
- Lighter Cows under 400 kgs averaged $1.80, topping at $2.26/kg
- 474kg Droughtmaster steers from D & S Stevenson of Goomeri West sold to $1490 at $3.14/kg
- Brahman cross steers from J & V Sparkes in Wondai sold for $3.29/kg, returning $1473
- 424kg Simbrah steers from HICO Goomeri sold for $1412 at $3.33/kg
- Simmental cross steers from Glen Bernie of Byrnestown sold for $1500 and $3.80/kg and $1092 at $3.79/kg
- 363kg Droughtmaster cross steers from M & R Lucht of Proston sold to $1234 at $3.40/kg
- A draft of 60 No 6 Droughtmaster cross steers from Myora Pastoral of Johnstown sold to $1026, averaging $1009 and $3.30/kg
- Charolais cross weaner steers from R & O Rankin of Brigooda for $987 ($3.63/jg) and $808 ($3.36/kg)
- Charolais weaner steers from N. Sarquis of Kingaroy sold for $3.60/kg, returning $940
- Santa weaner steers from A. Wessling of Murgon sold for $937 at $3.44/kg
- Local Santa cross heifers sold to $1320 and $3.04/kg
- 410kg Brahman heifers sold to $2.93/kg, returning $1200
- 346kg Santa cross heifers from Manthey & Bate of Proston sold for $1086 and $3.13/kg

- Brangus weaner heifers from R & P McIntosh of Manyung sold for $3.42/kg, returning $776
