Kingaroy police are urging local residents to “dob in a drug dealer” in a bid to cut property offences in the area.

They are also seeking information about illicit drug production and distribution.

“Statistics have previously shown drug and property offences are closely related,” Acting Senior Sergeant Brad Johannesen said.

“It’s a known fact that drug users will often resort to committing property crime to support their habit.

“By reducing drug offences Kingaroy Police are hopeful they will also reduce the incidents of property-related crime in the area.”

Information can be provided by phoning Policelink on 13-14-44 or online; or by contacting Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800-333-000.
