A 48-year-old motorcycle rider has died following a collision on the Esk-Hampton Road at Ravensbourne on Sunday morning.
A police spokesman said preliminary investigations indicated that about 11:20am, a motorcycle and a car collided on the road.
Emergency services attended however the rider was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
