Thieves stole a large quantity of tobacco products when they broke into the SupaIGA supermarket in Nanango in the early hours of Monday morning.

Nanango police say the thief or thieves broke into the building in Fitzroy Street about 1:10am.

Entry was gained by breaking the front glass sliding doors.

The offence is similar to a previous break and enter at the same business on January 23 when tobacco was also stolen.

Police are seeking help from the public to assist the investigation.

Anyone with information is advised to contact Nanango Police  on (07) 4171-6333 or Crime Stoppers on 1800-333-000.

The Toyota LandCruiser resting in a ditch just outside Kingaroy

Two people were taken to Kingaroy Hospital for observation after a 4WD ran off the D’Aguilar Highway and ended up in a ditch on Tuesday afternoon.

An ambulance was called to the incident about 2:30pm.

The 4WD was heading into Kingaroy when the driver apparently swerved, over-corrected and ran off the road not far from Rogers Drive.

The front of the LandCruiser was extensively damaged.

4WDs are designed to be off-road vehicles … but not quite like this
