South Burnett Regional Council workers have begun road reconstruction work on Corndale Road at Memerambi.
The project includes the rehabilitation of a 700m section of the existing sealed roadway and 1km of shoulder resheeting.
Construction work will include earthworks, gravel pavement and bitumen sealing.
Weather permitting, the work should be completed in April.
During construction, traffic will be controlled by signs so drivers should expect minor delays.
