The South Burnett Regional Council is giving residents the opportunity to collect one native tree per address at no cost.

The trees will be in small 50mm tubes.

The trees available are:

  • Brisbane WattleAcacia fimbriata – Height to 7 metres
  • TuckerooCupaniopsis anacaroides – Height to 10 metres
  • Diamond Leaf PittosporumAuranticarpa rhombifolia – Height to 15–25 metres
  • Red BottlebrushMelaleuca viminalis – Height to 20 metres
  • Crows AshFlindersia australis – Height to 40 metres
  • Flame TreeBrachychiton acerifolius – Height to 40 metres

Registration forms are available on Council’s website or at any of Council’s Customer Service Centres.

Completed forms should be either emailed to info@southburnett.qld.gov.au or returned to any Council Customer Services Centres on or before close of business on Thursday, March 23.

    • This was seven years ago, Adrian. We have not heard of any recent programs like this in the South Burnett (although the neighbouring Toowoomba Council has a voucher scheme for ratepayers). To double check, you could contact the SBRC on (07) 4189-9100.
