The Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Users Association has commissioned a video to help promote the trail.

“The video will be not only be a great promotion for the BVRT, it will also be a great promotion for the regions it passes through,” BVRTUA president Paul Heymans said.

The video will be shot by Lachlan Ryan, from Element Photo and Video Productions.

“Former ABC 612 Breakfast show presenter Spencer Howson has agreed to do the narrative voiceover,” Paul said.

“Spencer spent a week broadcasting his show from the BVRT last year, so he has a great affinity with the rail trail.”

The video will focus on two big cycling events on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail in February and March.

There will also be filming of local tourism businesses, museums, art galleries, nature, landmarks, sunsets and sunrises, wildlife and small groups and individuals enjoying the rail trail.

“Professional video production is expensive,” Paul said.

The BVRTUA acknowledged the generous sponsorship to cover the costs from local businesses Wiikirri B&B Retreat in Blackbutt, Blackbutt Bakery, Esk Caravan Park, Nash Cafe and Gallery in Esk, Brisbane Valley Protein in Coominya, Eagle Forklifts in Glamorganvale, and Zanows Sand and Gravel in Fernvale.

“We’re anticipating some additional sponsorship from other sources and will make an announcement about that soon,” Paul said.
