Two men and a teenager have been charged with a string of offences after an alleged home invasion in Alford Street, Kingaroy, last Wednesday night.
Officer-in-Charge of Kingaroy Police, Acting Senior Sergeant Brent Gerber, said police would allege a group of men entered the home about 9:00pm and threatened to assault the occupants.
One of the group was allegedly armed with a meat cleaver.
Acting Snr Sgt Gerber said a 23-year-old Kingaroy man in the house used a pedestal fan to defend himself.
He suffered lacerations and scratches during the incident and later received stitches at Kingaroy Hospital.
A 16-year-old youth from Woodridge, a 25-year-old Booie man and a 35-year-old Kingaroy man have been charged with entering a dwelling with intent at night, assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed in company, unlawful wounding, and assaulting and obstructing police.
The Booie man has been remanded in custody to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 6; the Kingaroy man has been released on bail to appear on January 30 and the youth was remanded in custody to February 3.
Acting Snr Sgt Gerber said investigations were continuing to identify and locate further suspects allegedly involved in the incident.
