A 27-year-old Coolabunia man has been fined $6095 and disqualified from driving for two years after an incident in Haly Street, Kingaroy, on January 17.

Police attempted to pull over the man, wanted for breaching bail, at 6:20pm, but he failed to stop.

At 11:15pm, police located and arrested the man.

He was held in custody until he appeared in court on January 20, where he pleaded guilty to evading police, breaching bail, and telecommunication offences.

On the latter two offences, the two days he spent in custody were counted as time served.

A 38-year-old Rocklea woman and a 35-year-old Nanango man face a series of charges in relation to an alleged break-in.

The woman has been charged with two counts of break-and-enter, possessing drugs and possessing drug utensils.

The man has been charged with three counts of break-and-enter, and assaulting and obstructing police.

They were remanded in custody to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Four juveniles were arrested and held in custody after a vehicle was stolen from Youngman Street in Kingaroy on Saturday night.

The same group has also been charged over the alleged break-in of a vehicle parked in Arthur Street, Kingaroy.

Police are investigating thefts from a vehicle in West Street, Kingaroy, on Saturday night.

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Acting Senior Sergeant Brent Gerber said the thieves gained entry by smashing a quarter panel window.

A number of items were stolen.

Police are hunting vandals who climbed on to the roof of the Kingaroy Town Hall building, damaging an air conditioner and a window.

Black pen also was used to tag the building.

Acting Snr Sgt Gerber said Kingaroy motorists should be congratulated … only one speeding ticket was issued during back-to-school week.

No one was injured when two vehicles collided at the corner of Haly Street and Youngman Street on Friday evening.

One of the drivers was issued with a $360 traffic ticket for failing to give way.

On January 12, a 61-year-old Kingaroy woman received two traffic tickets totalling $779 for driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.

On January 17, a 47-year-old Kingaroy woman received a $186 ticket for driving with a recently expired licence.
