A person has been charged with a driving offence after the famous Keith Goodchild Park sign on the eastern edge of the Murgon CBD was smashed over last week

Murgon Police are currently investigating three break-ins which occurred on the same evening, as well as the associated theft of a car.

About 8:00pm on November 29, unknown persons broke into a house in Dutton Street East Murgon by removing a fly screen and climbing through a window. A pair of binoculars was stolen.

About 11:00pm, offenders entered a car parked in Leitch Street and stole two gold coloured rings, a Garmin GPS and a black handbag.

Then between midnight and 3:00am, offenders broke into a house in Cobb Street, Murgon, by breaking the flyscreen and unlocking the screen door. They stole a quantity of money from the location as well as car keys.

The thieves then took a car from the same location, a silver 2008 Toyota Corolla with rego 862-RSX.

A person has been charged after the famous “Keith Goodchild Park” sign, featuring the Murgon “hub” logo, was knocked over by a vehicle last week.
