The Red Earth Community Foundation is seeking expressions of interest from community members interested in joining the not-for-profit organisation’s Board.
The foundation is a philanthropic organisation whose major project at present is the organisation of the South Burnett Community Leadership Program.
President Georgie Somerset said the annual general meeting would be held from from 5:15pm on Tuesday, December 13, at the Wondai Art Gallery.
“People can hear more about community foundations, with an overview and insights from the 2016 National Communities Foundation Forum, attended by Amy Wicks and Graham Archdall on our behalf,” Mrs Somerset said.
“The Foundation is seeking additional skills to add strength to the existing Foundation board.
“Experience in governance, financial management, administration and marketing are sought, however these are not the only criteria for selection. Please contact us for more information as EOIs close on December 6.
“At the AGM, the 2017 South Burnett Community Leadership Program participants will be announced and you will have the opportunity to hear from the Alumni of the program.”
Following the AGM, the Board has invited attendees to join them for dinner at the Wondai Hotel. Cost is $25 for two courses. RSVP to Amy Wicks 0427-322-781 for the dinner (pay direct to the hotel on the night).
