After a week of glittering high school formals in Kingaroy and Nanango, it was Murgon’s turn to shine on Friday night … and the Class of 2016 did not disappoint.
As usual, spectators crowded along both sides of Gore Street – and the balcony of the Royal Hotel – eager to catch a glimpse of this year’s Year 12s.
About 5:30pm, the cavalcade of classic cars (old and new) plus a couple of trucks began depositing their occupants on to the waiting red carpet.
The beautifully gowned young women and handsomely suited young men braved a storm of photographers as they made their way into the Town Hall for the formal part of the evening.
