Two people were airlifted to hospital on Saturday after separate motorcycle incidents in the South Burnett at the weekend.

In the first, a woman aged in her 40s was flown to Nambour Hospital with suspected arm injuries after her motorbike crashed between Moore and Blackbutt on the D’Aguilar Highway.

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight helicopter was despatched to the scene shortly after 3:00pm.

In the second incident, a 13-year-old boy with suspected leg and arm injuries was picked up from Kingaroy Hospital after 6:00pm by the Sunshine Coast helicopter.

The boy is believed to have suffered the injuries in a motorcycle crash in the South Burnett.

He was flown to the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
