A 47-year-old man was airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital on Sunday afternoon with serious injuries after a motorbike crash on the Blackbutt Range.

The rider suffered serious chest injuries and possible spinal injuries after he lost control of his motorbike on the D’Aguilar Highway.

A RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called to to the scene about 1:15pm.

A LifeFlight Critical Care Doctor and Intensive Care Flight Nurse assisted Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics to treat the patient at the side of the road.

The patient was then transferred to the helicopter.

A LifeFlight spokesman said he travelled in stable condition.
