Kingaroy’s Holly Ferling rewarded cricket selectors with some lethal bowling for Australia during the One Day International against Sri Lanka played on Sunday.

The match, at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Dambulla, was the Southern Stars’ first official outing on the tour.

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat.

The home side was all out for 76 off 24.5 overs after the Aussie bowlers ripped through them.

Ferling finished with the best figures, 3/4 off four overs, including two maidens, but not far behind were Megan Schutt (2/5) and Kristen Beams (3/16).

In reply, the Aussies overhauled the target in the 15th over, finishing with 6/79.
