Vintage military machinery will be one of the featured displays at this weekend’s Vintage Machinery rally near Kingaroy Airport.

This is the fourth time the Kingaroy & District Vintage Machinery Club has held its annual rally at its club grounds on Geoff Raph Drive, and this year’s event is shaping to be the biggest yet.

As well as military machinery, enthusiasts will also be celebrating 90 years of Stihl as well as the humble farm pump.

There’ll also be vintage engines, tractors, crawlers, trucks, cars, bikes, steam power and all sorts of old machinery.

The always-popular  tractor pulls will be back in the purpose-built arena; the further the tractor goes down the track, the more weight is transferred to the sled, testing the tractor’s pulling power.

Also popular is the grand parade, when all the mobile exhibits trundle, huff and puff  their way around the arena.

There’ll also be slow tractor races, corn threshing and other novelty events.

Entry is $10 per person (children under 12 are free).
